Behind the craft (and curses)

Amanda and Tish started Profanity Pots after a shared love of pottery and swearing.

What began with clay, a wheel, an excellent teacher, and a strong belief that handmade ceramics don’t have to be polite, turned into a studio where craftsmanship and humour happily coexist.

Every piece is made by hand — no mass production.

The words are chosen carefully, not for shock value, but because sometimes a well-placed swear word says exactly what you’re thinking.

This isn’t novelty tat. It’s proper pottery, with a sense of humour. Made for people who appreciate craftsmanship, honesty, and the occasional “for fuck’s sake.”.

A woman in a black shirt and green apron working on pottery, arranging clay cups on wooden bases in a pottery studio with large windows, outside trees, and garden visible.

From wheel to words, we mould clay and profanity into pieces that make life a little funnier.
